Becoming Sociable At three months of age, your baby is really beginning to take her place in the world. She actively seeks the attention of those closest to her, smiles and vocalises to communicate her pleasure. But as her social world expands, she faces the challenge of predicting other people's behaviour and this can sometimes make her anxious.

The First Day Home It's normal to feel apprehensive about bringing your baby home for the first time. You won't be the first new mum to have never changed a nappy or dressed a baby in a fiddly sleep-suit before. Most of us had to learn on the job, and most of us made mistakes along the way! But don't worry. Your instincts will kick in the moment you need them, and for tasks that are completely alien to you, there is always plenty of help and advice.
